Who We Are

Investment Health Checks is a trading name of CWD Research Consulting Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15661149. Our registered office is 255 Poulton Road, Wallasey, Wirral, CH44 4BT. Our contact address is Eastbrook, Beeches Drive, Farnham Common, Bucks SL2 3JU and our VAT registration number is 491 3631 85.

You can contact us at contact@investmenthealthchecks.com, by telephone on 07496 281313, or by writing to our contact address.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that legal entity. “You” means the person using our website or ordering a review.

When These Terms Apply

These terms govern use of www.investmenthealthchecks.com and purchases of our investment health check service by consumers. A consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

You must be at least 18 to order a review. Our consumer service is intended for UK residents. Business, professional and institutional engagements require a separate written agreement before work begins.

Before you order, we will make these terms and the details of your proposed review available to you. Please read them and keep a copy. We will email confirmation of an accepted order, including the applicable terms.

What Our Service Provides

We review the investment information and documents you supply to help you understand the charges associated with your portfolio. The agreed review may include identification of disclosed charges, comparison with relevant benchmarks and factual analysis of performance and risk information, where adequate data is available.

Your quotation will identify the portfolios, documents, review period and deliverables covered, together with any included follow-up support. Our standard deliverable is a PDF report. Additional portfolios, later reporting periods or further work are included only where stated in your quotation or separately agreed with you.

Our report may identify matters to investigate or discuss with your investment provider or authorised financial adviser. Any colour rating describes our assessment of the charges and information reviewed. It is not an instruction to buy, sell, hold, switch or transfer an investment.

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. It is a review at a particular point in time, not an audit, fraud investigation, valuation certificate or continuing monitoring service. We do not promise to identify every charge or issue, but will explain material limitations in our analysis.

Financial Advice and Investment Decisions

We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our service is limited to information and analysis and does not include regulated investment advice, a personal recommendation concerning a particular investment, or an assessment that an investment is suitable for you.

We do not manage investments, arrange investment transactions, hold investment money, negotiate with your provider on your behalf or provide tax or legal advice under this service.

Before changing investments, providers or pension arrangements, obtain advice from an appropriately authorised adviser where needed. Charges are only one factor: investment risk, service quality, tax, exit costs and valuable benefits or guarantees may also matter.

We do not guarantee a fee reduction, an investment return or a particular outcome. Investments can fall as well as rise in value, and past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. A lower fee does not, by itself, guarantee a better overall result.

Free Initial Review and Your Order

Submitting documents or creating an account does not commit you to buying a report. We first undertake a free preliminary review of the information supplied.

If that review identifies no evidence of excessive fees, we will tell you before asking you to pay. You may stop at that point without charge. You may also choose to purchase a report after we have explained that finding. We will not charge you unless you expressly choose to proceed.

The preliminary review is not a full report or confirmation that your investments are suitable, that all charges are reasonable or that no undisclosed charges exist.

If we can provide the requested service, we will issue a no-obligation quotation describing its scope, price and delivery arrangements. Your paid order is accepted, and a contract is formed, when we email our acceptance after you agree to the quotation and complete payment. An automated acknowledgement alone is not acceptance unless it expressly says so.

If we cannot accept an order, we will explain this and refund any payment taken for it.

Price and Payment

Our standard price is £480 including VAT for one review within the scope specified in your quotation. We will explain any different or additional charges before you order. No extra paid work will be undertaken without your agreement.

Payment is due using the payment methods shown at checkout. This is a one-off purchase, not a subscription. We will provide a payment receipt.

Finding potential excessive fees does not guarantee that your provider will reduce them or that any savings will exceed the review price. The fee pays for the agreed analysis and report, subject to your cancellation and other rights under these terms.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may withdraw a submission without charge before entering into a paid contract.

To cancel, email contact@investmenthealthchecks.com or send a clear cancellation statement to our contact address. Include your name and enough information to identify your order. Sending your cancellation before the deadline is sufficient.

After that period, contact us if you wish to cancel unfinished work. We will refund the amount paid less a reasonable amount for work actually completed, calculated in proportion to the agreed service. This does not restrict any right to cancel or receive a refund because of our breach, delay or a problem with the service.

These provisions are additional to, and do not reduce, your statutory rights, including any longer cancellation period that applies by law.

Delivery and Delays

Unless a different period is expressly agreed before you order, we will deliver your report within 48 working hours after we have accepted your order, received payment and all information reasonably needed for the agreed review, and may begin work under clause 7.

We will deliver the PDF electronically using the email address or account associated with your order. Please ensure these details are correct and contact us if you cannot access your report.

If missing information prevents completion, we will identify what is needed promptly and explain the effect on delivery. We will not extend an agreed deadline without informing you. If we anticipate a delay, we will explain the reason and proposed completion date.

If we cannot meet the agreed deadline, you may agree to a revised deadline or cancel for a full refund. Your other legal remedies remain unaffected.

Information You Provide

Please provide information that is accurate, complete and current to the best of your knowledge, and tell us promptly if you discover an error or omission. We rely on that information and will identify material gaps or inconsistencies that we reasonably detect during the agreed review.

Only upload documents that you own or are authorised to disclose. If documents concern another person, make sure you have the necessary authority and a lawful basis for sharing their information. Do not send passwords, login codes, payment card security codes or information unrelated to the review.

You may redact identifying details before submitting documents, provided the information needed for analysis remains readable. Redaction may limit what we can assess and does not necessarily make your submission anonymous: account, contact and payment information may still identify you.

If new or corrected information requires additional work, we will explain any proposed charge and obtain your agreement first. We will not charge you to correct our own errors.

Understanding Your Report

Your report relates to the documents, period, sources and assumptions identified in it. Comparisons may be affected by differences in portfolio composition, risk, service levels, tax treatment and reporting periods. Estimates are not confirmed charges unless stated otherwise.

Calculators and projections are illustrative and depend on their stated assumptions. They do not predict actual investment results. Changes after the report date may affect its findings, and ongoing updates are not included unless agreed.

If you believe a report contains an error, contact us with the relevant details. We will investigate and correct errors attributable to our work without additional charge. This does not limit your legal remedies.

Your Account and Acceptable Use

Keep your login credentials secure and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for your own use of the account, but are not automatically responsible for unauthorised activity caused by matters outside your reasonable control.

Do not upload malicious software, seek access to another person's information, interfere with the website, use the service fraudulently or infringe another person's rights.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a security threat, unlawful conduct or a material breach of these terms. Where practicable, we will explain why and give you a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Restricting access does not remove rights concerning paid work, refunds or complaints.

Documents and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the documents and information you provide. You permit us and our service providers to use them only as necessary to deliver the service and for the related lawful purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

We or our licensors own the rights in our website, methodology and report materials. You may download and retain your report for personal use and share it with your financial adviser, accountant, solicitor, investment provider or another person assisting you with your affairs.

You must not resell our reports, publish them commercially or alter them in a misleading way without permission. These restrictions do not prevent disclosures required by law, complaints, regulatory disclosures or the exercise of your legal rights.

Sharing a report does not create a separate advisory relationship or contract between us and its recipient.

Confidentiality and Personal Information

We will treat your non-public documents and investment information as confidential. We may disclose them to people and service providers who need them to deliver or support the service under appropriate obligations, where you authorise disclosure, or where disclosure is required by law.

Our Privacy Policy at https://www.investmenthealthchecks.com/privacy-policy explains how we handle personal information, including retention, service providers and your rights. Acceptance of these terms does not constitute consent to optional marketing.

Problems and Our Responsibility

If we fail to provide the service with reasonable care and skill or otherwise breach our contract, you retain all remedies available under applicable consumer law. Depending on the circumstances, these may include repeat performance, a price reduction, a refund or compensation.

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious that it could happen or if, when the contract was made, both you and we knew it might happen.

We are not responsible for market movements themselves, or losses caused solely by matters outside the agreed service and unrelated to any breach or fault on our part. We do not exclude responsibility simply because a claim relates to an investment decision.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Complaints

Send complaints to contact@investmenthealthchecks.com with your order reference and a description of the issue. We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and aim to provide a substantive response within 20 working days. If more time is needed, we will explain why and give you an expected response date.

If we cannot resolve the complaint, we will explain any alternative dispute resolution information we are legally required to provide, including whether we are obliged or willing to participate. You may pursue your legal rights without completing our complaints process first.

Changes and General Terms

We may update these terms for future orders. The version accepted for an existing order continues to apply unless a change is required by law or we expressly agree a change with you. We will not retrospectively change the price, scope or cancellation terms of an accepted order without your agreement.

If a court finds a provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply so far as legally possible. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.

We may transfer this contract only if doing so does not reduce your rights or the protections you receive. We will notify you and, if the transfer materially disadvantages you, allow you to cancel unfinished work and receive a refund for services not supplied.

These terms and the agreed order details govern your purchase. They do not exclude binding information or representations on which you relied when ordering, or override mandatory consumer rights. Any separate website disclaimer must be read consistently with these terms and cannot reduce those rights.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you also retain the mandatory consumer protections applicable where you live.

You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of that country. Nothing in these terms removes any other mandatory right you have concerning governing law or jurisdiction.
